Robbers strike passenger train, decamp with cash

Six armed men entered a Saharanpur-bound passenger train and looted cash worth Rs four lakhs from a trader near Kandhla railway station in the district, police said here today.

"Six armed men entered a Saharanpur-bound passenger train and looted cash worth Rs four lakhs from a trader near Kandhla railway station in the district," police said here on Saturday.

"The six armed men, who later managed to escape, yesterday robbed train passenger Ritish Gandhi, who was travelling from Delhi to Saharanpur," they said.

"No arrest has been made so far in this connection and a probe is on to nab the culprits," they said.
