THREE METERS were found tampered by MP Western Region Electricity Distribution Company vigilance team at 80 Ahilyapura in which reading was reversed after opening the seal.

Four families of Bohra community live on these premises and out of them three consumers had opened the seal of meter and reversed the reading, and there is likelihood that some kind of resistance was added to the meter to prevent it from running at normal speed.

These three consumers will be served bills tomorrow whose total amount is Rs 50,000. Sources in the Company informed that the consumers had admitted that tampering was done with the meters.
