On Wednesday, Amit Jethwa's family and the Opposition Congress had openly blamed Dinu Bogha Solanki for the murder.

Jethwa was attacked by two unidentified assailants in Ahmedabad on Tuesday night. He was cremated in Khamba town on Wednesday.

Jethwa's father has vowed to bring his son's killers to justice. "If situation demands, we will go to High Court. I will ensure that culprits are punished," said Bikubhai Jethwa on Wednesday.

The murder has allegedly happened in the wake of Jethwa's recently filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against illegal mining in Gir sanctuary and had hinted at Solanki's involvement in it. Solanki has termed these allegations as baseless.
