Dressed in a formal blue suit and yellow tie, Tendulkar was accompanied by his wife Anjali in the Royal Box to catch the action in men's singles final of the All England Tennis Championship.

The Indian batting star saw history being made as Federer, the Swiss number one, won his fourth successive Wimbledon and eighth career Grand Slam crown with a 6-0 7-6 (7/5) 6-7 (2/7) 6-3 triumph over the Spanish world number two.

Tendulkar was joined by English rugby union flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson, who kicked the winning drop goal in the World Cup final in 2003. On the tennis side were former champions Margaret Court and Neale Fraser.

The Indian batting star is in the UK to play charity matches for Lashings Club as he seeks to make a comeback to international cricket following a shoulder surgery in March 2006.
