While delivering a decision on a petition filed by Khan, Rajasthan High Court ordered for the submission of files related to the sanction procedure for prosecution by district collector to the court. Salman Khan had filed a petition to submit the file in the court but the district court rejected the plea.

Hearing the matter, Justice Sandeep Mehta ordered for the submission of the file related to the sanction and order of prosecution by the district collector. The counsel of the film star Hastimal Sarswat told the court’s decision was in the favour of Salman Khan.

Salman Khan has been accused of hunting a blackbuck while shooting for the film “Hum Saath Saath Hain” near Kankani in 1998. The forest department had also filed a separate case under the Arms Act, accusing Khan of not renewing the licences of a revolver and a rifle he possessed.

Several members of the cast of “Hum Saath Saath Hain” were accused of shooting three chinkaras and a blackbuck at Kankani near Jodhpur on October 1, 1998.
