Patil, former bodyguard of Salman, was arrested from Mahableshwar in Satara district of Maharashtra on March 11 following a non-bailable warrant issued against him.

The warrant was issued as Patil failed to appear for the trial in the case in which Salman Khan is accused of killing one person and injuring four by ramming his car into a bakery in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002.

Even after the warrant was issued, Patil did not appear on four occasions and was reported missing.

Crime Branch sleuths arrested him from Mahabaleshwar and brought him to Mumbai. He was produced in the regular court, which is hearing the Salman case.
