Nyas secretary Jayant Bhise informed that the cultural organisation hold Diwali celebrations every year. Those who have performed earlier on the occasion include Ajit Kadkade, Pandit Prabhakar Karekar, Shridhar Phadke, Padmja Jogalekar, Rahul Deshpande, Pandit Shaunak Abhisheki, Kalpana Zokarkar and Onkar Dadarkar.

Pandit Abhyankar who has performed in US, Canada, Australia, Europe, Africa and Middle East is the disciple of Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj of Mewati gharana.

He received initial music training from his mother Shobha Abhyanakar and later from Pandit Pimpalkarji of Gwalior gharana. According to Bhise, free invitation cards are available at Agrawal Sweets in Chhappan Dukan, Vastrambar on M G Road and Lotus show room.
