‘Sarabjit’s death penalty not valid as his name isn’t in FIR’
The death penalty awarded to an alleged India spy Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan by a special anti-terrorist court and upheld by the Pakistan Supreme Court, had no substantial basis, as convict’s name does not even figure in the FIR. Disclosing this to the media Sarabjit’s lawyer Avaid Sheikh said he had hopes from the review petition filed before the court. HT Correspondents report.
