According to her family, Kaur went inside her room at around 8 pm and bolted the door from inside. She did not respond to her family members' pleas to open the door.

However, when they forced open the door, she was found lying unconscious.

She was admitted to a nearby private nursing home in Bikhiwind village. Kaur is still unconscious and treatment is on, her family said.

His sister has been praying for clemency from Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and also appealing to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to use his good offices in securing release of Sarabjit from the gallows on humanitarian grounds.

However, Pakistani authorities allege that 14 people were killed in the bomb blasts allegedly carried out by Sarabjit. They also say Sarabjit is an Indian spy who had entered Pakistan through the Punjab border.

In his petitions to the courts, including the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Sarabjit has said he had inadvertently crossed the border under the influence of liquor. Sarabjit said the Pakistani police arrested him and implicated him in false cases.
