Sarosh Zaiwalla

Sarosh Zaiwalla has been appointed an accredited conflict mediator by the London-based international mediation institute Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution.

A leading NRI lawyer, Sarosh Zaiwalla, has been appointed an accredited mediator by the London-based Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, an international mediation institute headed by former British Foreign Secretary Lord Douglas Hurd.

Zaiwalla is an experienced international mediator who has successfully handled many international private and inter-state resolutions by mediation. He is currently a member of the Paris-based International Commission on Arbitration.

He was a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris from 1998 to 2002.

In a statement on Monday, Zaiwalla said he planned to start a special mediation service for the Asian community to resolve commercial and family disputes by mediation in place of expensive and sometimes hostile court litigations.

Dispute settlement by a trained professional is now considered a more evolved approach for dispute settlement for the 21st century.
