Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit told reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday since the children have never participated in such relays in the past, there was no question of their joining the event this time as well.

However, she said that the school children will be present at the main function of the event as decided earlier.

The students would line up along Rajpath where elaborate security arrangements have been made to ward off any trouble, mainly from Tibetan protestors who have vowed to disrupt the rally.
