Tony Blair’s challenge to Iran and Syria to bring peace in Iraq needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. The West seems to be orchestrating a carrot-and-stick policy with Iran. This move comes after their failure to stop Iran from processing uranium. Since all their strategies in Iraq have failed, the West is trying to bluff its way out by playing the Iran card.

Apropos of Numbering out 13 (November 22), we hope the SC condemns the Kerala HC for perpetuating superstitions. In this context, the signing of 13 agreements by India and China assumes significance. Both countries have shown the world that we need not be superstitious about No 13.

With reference to the report Cheap, blended petrol for your car (November 22), petrol pumps do not have separate browsers for this new fuel as yet. Further, the US and Britain have not shown any interest in this fuel. Something smells fishy.
