Potential as an all rounder but lacking in experience. Left-hand bat, right-arm medium pace bowler.

Nicknamed 'Slug' at school for his slow batting. Father and uncle both played first-class cricket for Rhodesia B. Another product of the CFX Academy in Harare. Represented Zimbabwe at all age-group levels, playing for the under 19s aged 16. Talented all-round sportsman but serious knee injury as a schoolboy in 2000 curbed his involvement in hockey and tennis, his two other loves.

Tough ODI debut against England, when hammered for 54 off seven overs.
