Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and Justice Amar Saran passed the order on a writ petition of one Habibullah, the father of Waliullah, the prime accused in the case.

In the petition, it has been alleged that the state police have not investigated the matter in a just manner and thus a demand for CBI inquiry has been made. It has also been prayed that police authorities do not harass family members of Waliullah.

In the petition filed through advocate Vineet Saran, it has been alleged that ever since the state police took away Waliullah on March 26 from his residence in Phoolpur, Allahabad, he has been untraceable for which the petitioner sent a telegram on March 27.

Later, Waliullah’s wife filed a habeas corpus writ petition before the High Court.

Only then, the police authorities disclose that Waliullah was arrested on April 5.

It has been alleged that since the very beginning, the police have been acting in a biased manner against Waliullah.
