Seer case, hearing deferred

The hearing in the Sankararaman murder case was on Monday deferred to November 26.

The hearing in the Sankararaman murder case, in which Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi and his junior Vijayendra Saraswathi are the main accused, was on Monday deferred to November 26.

When the case came up for hearing before Principal District and Sessions Judge D Krishnaraja, only eight among the 24 accused were present. The absentees included the two seers. The judge then postponed the hearing to November 26.



The case pertains to the death of Sankararaman, manager of Kanchipuram Varadarajaperumal temple on September 3, 2004.
