Meanwhile, political parties tried to politicise the issue as the muscle men were alleged to be connected with Hata, the constituency of a cabinet minister and leader of Loktantric Congress.

Judging the seriousness of the matter, district administration invited both the parties with legal documents to discuss the matter.

The landlord Revti Raman Das said that his building was constructed in 1932 and the portion was used for the parking and servant quarters.

He said a miscreant Sachitanand used to threaten the resident of these quarters.

Sachitanand is said to be a hired man of Bharat Agrawal, who claimed that he has purchased 22000 sqr feet land from Rehan and Zafar Ali, son of Majid Ali in 1987. Since then, he is trying to take the possession of the land but failed to do so.

According to sources, Agrawal is very close to cabinet minister Harishanker Tiwari and on Monday, the miscreants in behest of the ruling party leader reached the spot and tried to evict the resident by force, which was strongly opposed by the localities.
