The accident was caused by slippery road due to incessant rain and landslide on Wednesday night, police said, adding the vehicle was going to Kolasib from Aizwal.
Those killed on the spot included an elderly couple from nearby Zanlawn village.
The injured persons were admitted to the Aizwal Civil Hospital where the doctors termed their conditions as serious, but out of danger.
