Shivraj on Uma footprints with a different mission

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan seems to have decided to undertake the same route Uma Bharti took in Madhya Pradesh during her ongoing Ram-Roti Padyatra.
Yet his mission is quite different - not following the Sadhvi’s footprints or making it to Ramlala but erasing the impression from people’s minds what the Sadhvi’s padyatra might have created.

After Raisen public meeting yesterday, the CM’s next destination on ‘the Ram-Roti Padyatra route’ is Sagar where the Sadhvi had addressed a huge gathering on December 15 and blew the bugle against the 11, Ashoka Road, Delhi (the BJP headquarters). He would be addressing a public meeting at Sagar on January 25 after a grand reception planned for him.
That Sagar is situated in the heart of the Sadhvi’s citadel Bundelkhand region is another reason why the CM’s proposed meeting at Sagar assumes much significance.
As the Sadhvi is to reach Ayodhya on January 14, the BJP leaders have got themselves involved in guessing her further moves. However, Chouhan’s public meeting at Raisen and gala reception he was accorded left no chance for guessing that the entire show was organised to send out a categorical message to the BJP’s rank and file in particular and the common man in general about the CM’s ‘bigger mass following’ as compared to that of the Sadhvi.
