The director of the programme Jatish Chandra informed that installation of idol of Lord Parshavanath in new temple would be celebrated in these five days. Bogus drug officers arrested

POLICE IN Shajapur arrested three bogus drug officers today on charges of extorting money from doctors. All three belonged to Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Sub-divisional officer (Police), Umesh Sharma said police arrested Ramcharan Singh, Aelam Singh and Radheshyam from Arnia Khurd village under Awantipur police station today on charges of extorting money from private practitioners acting as drug officers. Forum flays bank over loan

IN A significant ruling, the District Customer Grievances Redressal Forum has reprimanded a private bank in Mandsaur for demanding a whopping 24 per cent interest on a home loan. The forum said the bank's tactics amounted to improper business conduct. Forum chairman S D Dubey and member Sudha Sharma recently struck down the bank's demand of 24 per cent interest instead of the stipulated 10.25 per cent from complainant Gayatri Solanki submitted the bank took blank cheques from her in advance. The defendant argued that it had a right to impose the hiked interest as the loan contract was violated. UNI

Youth held for abduction, rape

MALHARGARH POLICE in Mandsaur district arrested a youth on charges of alleged abduction and rape of a minor girl. According to police, Raju Siklikar of Jharda village in Neemuch forcibly took a 16-year-old girl of Anuppur village to Chhitorgarh of Rajasthan and raped her there. The girl somehow escaped from his clutches and returned to her parents the other day. Her family members reported the matter to Malhargarh police and based on the complaint police arrested the culprit Raju under Section 363, 366 and 376 of the IPC. HTC
