Altogether 30 children participated in the theatre workshop conducted by Abhishek Pandey ‘Darshan Prakash’.
They were given training in dance, song, improvisation, dialogue delivery, yoga and theatre games. Acting was taught to them, by Ashish Shukla of NSD, Puja Thakur trained them in singing. They were also taken to various places such as Elephant Park, museum and Chandra Shekhar Azad Park.
These children have never watched any play and thus they were also taken to NCZCC to watch the play ‘Ravivar ki khoj’ directed by Parimal Datta.
‘Abhiruchi’ to be staged today: Stage presentation of the cultural items prepared during the workshops ‘Abhiruchi’ at North Central Zone Cultural Centre will take place on June 15.
Dholak playing and presentation of mime will be done by children. They were trained by Ramchandra Shrimali in dholak and Kamal Naskar trained them in mime.
Besides, an exhibition of Pichhwai and Sanjhi style of paintings and modern art will be organised at Mahatma Gandhi Art Gallery on the same day. The paintings were prepared by children under the guidance of Nandlal Kushwaha, Saurabh Goswami and Nilima Saumya.
