Eminent poet and Hindustani Akademi president Kailash Gautam attacked the political scenario of the country:

“Sau mein dus ki bhari tijori, nabbe khali pet,
Log desh mein khel rahe hain kaise kaise khel.”

Gautam’s other poems also expressed human feelings and expressions.

Buddhisen Sharma presided over the event and most of his poems were philosophical.

Other poets who regaled the audience were Nandal Hitaishi, Bholanath Kushwaha, Yash Malviya, Gopal Ranjan, Gopikrishna Srivastav, Ashok Besharm, Vijaylakshmi Vibha and Yogendra Mishra.

Programme officer Atul Dwivedi proposed the vote of thanks.
