Sohanlal Sanghi memorial music prog from today

ABHINAV KALA Samaj would organise the 33rd Sohanlal Sanghi Memorial Akhil Bharatiya Sangeet Samaroh in Ravindra Natya Graha from tomorrow.

Sharad Sanghi told reporters here today that this three-day programme would begin with the performance of Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha. Flautist Rakesh Chaurasia would also render his performance on the opening day. Shehnai Vadak Shankar Bandhu would stage their programme on October 8. Kaushiki Chakravorti would present some melodious songs after this.

The Veena recital by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Salil Bhatt would be the main attraction on October 9, which would be the last day of Samaroh. Sunanda Sharma would present her Banarasi songs on the same day.

Mohan Mungre and Somen Poddar would accompany her on harmonium. Vinod Lele, Ram Kumar Mishra and Somen Chakravorti would play tabla.

The programme would begin at 8 pm everyday.
