Soldier commits suicide in Kashmir
A soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in a security force camp in Uri in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here today.

They said panic gripped the camp when firing shots were heard from a room.
However, when other security force personnel rushed to the room, they saw a soldier Raman Rai lying in a pool of blood.
He was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. They said it was not immediately clear why he took this
extreme step, they said, adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
Taking extreme step by security forces, engaged in counter insurgency, has not stopped even after authorities introduced Yoga and Art of Living to help security personnel to come out of the stress.
