Chatterjee, 77, who did not attend Parliament, is suffering from cough, cold and congestion in chest.

When the Speaker went to AIIMS for a check up, doctors advised him to get admitted so that some tests can be conducted on Friday morning, Parliament sources said.

Earlier in the day, some tests were carried out on him and all his parameters were found okay.
