DMK President M Karunanidhi and Gandhi will also discuss and finalise issues like PMK joining the alliance, TNCC President K V Thangkabalu said on Sunday.

Gandhi had reportedly expressed her reluctance to PMK's return to the DMK fold after quitting it during the 2009 Lok Sabha polls to align with the AIADMK.

The Congress has been dragging its feet on announcing its team to hold seat-sharing discussions with the DMK.

The Karunanidhi-led Dravidian party has already announced a five-member team, comprising Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and others for this purpose.

Congress has 34 MLAs in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly and lends crucial support to the DMK government.

The party is likely to seek around 80 seats this time.
