One of the most backward regions in the state, poverty-stricken Gadchiroli is faced with Naxal problem and is largely inaccessible by road.
Sonia said it was not possible to fulfill all demands. But she seemed to have struck an emotional chord when she said: "Your grief is mine, your joy is mine."
During her speech, Sonia took up the issue of lack of railways network in the region, the regressive forest laws and problems of farmers.
