Amar Singh was addressing an election meeting at Harchandpur before flagging off a big cycle rally of MP Akhilesh Singh Yadav in favour of Samajwadi Party candidate, Raj Kumar Chaudhary. He described Rae Bareli as the laboratory for Samajwadis. He said Rae Bareli was helpful in forming national opinion.

He further said Jaya Bachchan’s membership from Rajya Sabha had been terminated on the issue of ‘office of profit. Even he himself had been issued a notice.

However, he added, he had not resigned so far from the UP Development Council.
