Supporters of SP and BSP clashed in Puramufti on Thursday with those of the ruling party beating up members of the rival group in a police station here.
Police said BSP supporters led by Mohammad Habib, son of a local leader, was coming from Allahabad when SP supporter Mohammad Avshaf and others complained that they were being chased by BSP men. As the police stopped the BSP supporters, the SP men arrived and beat them
