State Party President Akhilesh Yadav, said the SP, which is heading towards a majority, was supported by all sections of society irrespective of their caste and creed which proved that people had accepted the issues on which the party went to polls.

"It was only SP which came out on streets on issues of public interest", he claimed and added that the SP government would ensure a corruption free environment and try to change the state, which is backward.

On who would be the chief minister, Akhilesh said the entire party wanted Mulayam Singh Yadav to become to occupy the post.

"The parliamentary board of the party would meet tomorrow after which party will stake the claim for formation of the government", he said.

About 'goondaraj' during SP regime, Akhilesh said that the party would take strict action against those who would take law in their hands.
