TAKING cognisance of grass root violation of election code of conduct the anti-encroachment squad of Municipal Corporation removed banner and posters from different crossings in the city.

It is to be noted that the different crossings and roads are floated with banner and posters along with the banners of different shops creating hindrance in smooth traffic movement. Additional municipal commissioner Avasthi led the squad and warned to lodge FIR against the candidate who would install their banners and posters on the road and at the government buildings.

He said that the district administration is maintaining vigil on the expenses of the
candidates and hinted that videography would be conducted.

The squad that started from Townhall crossing removed the banners at Shastri crossing,

Ambdekar Crossing, Golghar, Ganesh Crossing and other roads.

They snatched the posters of the candidates and said corporation would level fine against the corporators.
