"Security was well placed but you can't stop militants who want to die," said a top CRPF official.
Ruling out any security lapse, a top CRPF official said that security forces confronted the attackers as soon as they stormed into the venue of the Congress rally at Sher-e-Kashmir park on Sunday.

"You can't stop militants who want to die. Security forces confronted them as soon as they were spotted and killed one of them inside the venue," Inspector General of Central Reserve Police Force AP Meshwari said.
Another attacker was killed on a road near the polo ground, he said.
He strongly denied that militants took advantage of the security lapse and stormed into the venue of the rally. "Security was well placed but you can't stop militants who want to die".
