Stadium Club sail into badminton semi-final

STADIUM BADMINTON Club has sailed into the last four in the inter-club badminton tournament organised by Indore District Badminton Association at Nehru Stadium badminton court.

STADIUM BADMINTON Club has sailed into the last four in the inter-club badminton tournament organised by Indore District Badminton Association at Nehru Stadium badminton court.

In the quarterfinal, Stadium Badminton Club ‘A’ won the match by 2-0 to sail into the last four. In the first doubles match, Satish Agarwal/Mitesh Mehta of Stadium Badminton Club played with good understanding and never allowed their opponent players Pardeep/Dilip Jadeja of Central Gymkhana to come back in the game and won the match in straight games by 15-10 and 15-4 to give their club 1-0 lead.

In the second match A Mohta/Sudhanshu Vyas played confidently against Suresh/Amit after their club’s first pair gave them 1-0 lead to win the match in straight games 15-9 and 15-10.

SCEA students excel
SOUTH CANARA Educational Academy (SCEA) students excelled in the colour belt examination organised by Indore District Taekwondo Association recently.

Kapil Joshi passed the green belt exam. Nirali Mehta, Saloni Mehta, Gargi Rathore, Pratheksha Rawat, Vikas Jaiswal, Abhijit Rathore, Sagar Vanve, Chetan Mandarsha, Chandrashekar Sharma, Suyesh Kanna, Vijesh Soni, Amit Barud and Sharukh have passed the yellow belt examination. School principal and coach have congratulated all the students.

Sunil wins second prize in wrestling
SUNIL GHAVRI of Malhar Martand Sarvajanik Vyayamashala won the second position in the M P Kesari Wrestling Competition held at Jabalpur. Sunil won the second position in 55-kg category to bring laurel to the Vyayamashala. The wrestlers of Vyayamashala have congratulated Sunil Ghavri for his brilliant performance.

Kunal wins chess title
KUNAL SAXENA of Central Bank of India won the one-day Open Chess Tournament organised by Friends Chess Club at Hanuman Mandir premises, Nehru Nagar, on Sunday.

Kunal won all the matches to win the title. Hitesh Singh Jariya and Ajay Virwani won the second and third positions respectively.
