Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister MK Stalin reportedly told the Election Commission on Monday what he had said about AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa was in the public domain and not derogatory.

The Election Commission had sent him notice on his allegedly defamatory comments about the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

On the contrary “what Jayalalithaa had said about Karunanidhi and his family members was defamatory,” said senior DMK leader TKS Elangovan.

Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar said: “Stalin may have replied to the notice directly to the commission. Nothing has come here.”

Jayalalithaa and DMDK chief Vijayakant had sent their replies to the commission directly.
