STATE BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar is most likely to declare his team on Tuesday. Tomar’s team was awaited for about two months since he took over as the State BJP president on November 21 last. Parleys were going on till Monday late night in the party over composition of the new body.
The party sources said most the office-bearers in the previous team would retain their seats in the new body. Tomar might leave a few posts vacant to accommodate ministers who maybe dropped from the State Cabinet in the reshuffle after the State Assembly’s budget session.
Tomar has called a press conference tomorrow. It is understood that he would announce his team during the press conference. The sources said the RSS pracharak Makhan Singh, who has been sent to the BJP, is sure to replace State BJP organising general secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki. Decision was yet to be taken on if Anil Madhav Dave, who is heading a government organisation, should be retained in the team or not. Solanki would have to wait for some time it seems for his new assignment.
Sources said those of the previous team who might retain their place in the new team are vice-presidents Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Chandramani Tripathi, Gaurishankar Bisen and Bhupendra Singh; general secretaries Faggan Singh Kulaste and Nandkumar Singh Chauhan; treasurer Vijay Khandelwal; secretaries Arvind Bhadoria, Ajay Pratap Singh, Sharad Jain, Nirmala Bhuria.
Kailash Chawla and Lal Singh Arya who are likely to be inducted in the State Cabinet in post-assembly session Cabinet reshuffle as the words are doing the rounds in the party might not be in the team.
There was also no decision till late night over the name of Umashankar Gupta who was State BJP spokesperson in the previous body.
Tomar met Makhan Singh at Keshav Nidam and later he met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the CM house in the evening. He spent considerable time with Makhan Singh today.
