"If the Centre does not get the support of the states, problems cannot be solved. States should work together with the Centre for solving problems and helping in development," he said, addressing his first election rally in Delhi, which goes to polls on December 1.

Countering the charge of Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the employment front, Vajpayee said, "Our Government has created employment opportunities of more than one crore per year. Even though she has disputed this fact, the figures speak for themselves."
