FIRs were lodged against two dealers in Allahabad and Mirzapur respectively, they said.

The raids were carried out on mobile dealers in Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra and Allahabad on Saturday during which a number of cases of SIM cards being sold on fake identity proof, they said.

"Letters are being sent to mobile companies concerned asking them to take action against these dealers," they added.
