He was speaking at the concluding function of the science communication programme organised by the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) on National Science Day here today.
Winners of various science communication activities were given awards on the occasion. They included Amrit Chatterjee-St Joseph’s College( 1st in computer science), Pranjal Srivastava-Boy’s High School (Ist in chemical science) and Prateek Tandon-Boy’s High School (Ist in biological science ).
The results of other contests are as follows:
State level quiz: Allahabad team 1st(Atul Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh and Neelam Yadav).
State level debate: Allahabad 1st (Nabiya Khan) and State level oration-(Abhaya Kulshreshtha, Allahabad and Monish Choudhary, Ghaziabad-1st).
The academy also gave an award (The National Academy of Sciences, India-Science Teacher Award) to science teacher AK Gupta of Nathu Ram Purohit Balika Intermediate College, Jalaun.
