Students fall ill after drinking contaminated water

At least 36 students of a residential school fell ill after drinking contaminated water at Nandi Madaram village, nearly 50 km from here, official sources said.

At least 36 students of a residential school fell ill after drinking contaminated water at Nandi Madaram village, nearly 50 km from here, official sources said on Tuesday.

The students of Andhra Pradesh special residential high school fell ill after drinking contaminated water during dinner at the school on Monday, sources said adding of the 36 students, eight were admitted to the District hospital here.

The condition of the eight students was stated to be out of danger, they said.

The district medical and health officer K Keshava Rao visited the school, they added.
