Aspirants really thronged the venue of distribution, and stood for hours in queue to get the forms. The distribution of forms that had originally commenced on June 21 had been stopped from June 27, after a controversy erupted regarding the list of recognised colleges to be issued by the regional office of the National Council of Technical Education (NCTE).
The controversy continued till Wednesday, when the intervention of the School Education Minister Narottam Mishra saw the list of recognised colleges being finalised. Then the MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), which is conducting the admission process to B Ed this year, decided to restart the form distribution process.
The distribution and receipt of forms would now continue till July 14. There are about 28000 seats in the private B Ed colleges of the state and the admissions would be on the basis of merit in graduation courses. The students are supposed to mark choices of ten colleges in decreasing order of priority.
