Summer camp concludes

ARMY WIVES Welfare Association (AWWA) summer camp-2006 for children of Army personnel organised by the Army School, New Cantt under the aegis of HQ MP, C&A Sub-Area, concluded on June 14.

Nearly, 80 children who took part in this 10 days camp wherein they were exposed to a variety of extra curricular activities like yoga, aerobics, football and cricket match, equestrian, hobby classes like art and craft, music, dance and computer classes. In addition, the children visited places of interest around the city like Allahabad Fort, Anand Bhawan, Swaraj Bhawan, Allahabad museum, NCZCC, Air Force Bamrauli to witness real time flying and a boat ride in river Yamuna. Children who participated in this camp expressed happiness since it was a wonderful and memorable experience.

Brig SS Yadav, Commander MP, C&A Sub area said in closing address that such camps inculcate good qualities like adventurism, companionship and community living in children and help them develop into responsible citizens.
