The cognizance against the accussed was taken on the supplementary chargesheet filed by the CBI in the court here on Wednesday. The hearing against co-accused Sanjeev Maheshwari alias Jeeva would also take place on Thursday.

Judicial custody for Ankit’s kidnappers

THE SEVEN accused, allegedly involved in the Ankit’s kidnapping-cum-murder case, were remanded in judicial custody till December 23 next by Chief Judicial Magistrate Bhoodeo Gautam here on Wednesday.

The seven accused are: Himanshu, Prince Dwivedi, Bharat Gupta, Vikas Gupta, Gaurav Singh, Satendra singh and Vikas Misra.

An application for remanding the accused in the police custody was also moved on behalf of the State here today.

The court also fixed December 15 next for the disposal of the said application.
It may be recalled here that Ankit son of an SGPGI technician, RK Vishwakarma had been kidnapped recently and later killed by his kidnappers. His mutilated body was recovered on Tuesday.

The car used in the abduction and killing of Ankit was also recovered.

The application for handing over the accused in the police custody will come up for hearing on December 15 next.
