Surjeet's condition has improved: doctors

The veteran Marxist leader, who was admitted to a hospital in Noida with an acute respiratory problem, is expected to be out of the ICU in a couple of days.

The condition of veteran Marxist leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet, who was admitted to a hospital in Noida with an acute respiratory problem, has improved and he is expected to be out of the ICU in a couple of days.

The 92-year-old Surjeet, who was admitted to Metro Hospital, is in a better condition and would be moved out of the Intensive Care Unit in a couple of days, doctor attending on him said on Sunday.

"If his condition continues to improve, we might discharge him in a week," the doctors said.
