What are your priority areas?

As safety directly affects the train operation, I believe that recruitment of candidates falling under the safety category including drivers and guards should be done at the earliest.

My second priority is to recruit those falling under the non-safety category.

What measures have been taken to curb unfair means in RRB examinations?

Recruitment should always be fair, for this we have adopted various measures. In order to check impersonation we have taken measures including, taking left thumb impression and signature of the candidate in Hindi and English on optical mark reader, attendance sheet, answer sheet and admit card. We also make the candidate write a text in running hand writing on the question booklet and also a paragraph on the application which are tallied at the time of document verification.
Besides, we have also taken measures to check the practice of cheating to a large extent. Moreover, steps have also been taken to help check the paper leakage.

What facilities are provided to the candidates appearing for the RRB examination?

Candidate desiring to appear for the examination should have updated and correct information regarding employment notice, date of examination, result and status of application.

For this, we have provided all information on the website--www.rrbald.nic.in and

www.rrbald.gov.in

. Besides, candidates falling under SC/ST category are provided with free railway pass to appear in the examination.

Is there any plan to further improve the examination system?

We are planning to introduce bar coding on admit cards.
If all goes as planned, we will be able to detect whether the admit card is real or fake.

What are your major achievements since you joined here?


Number of recruitments in the past two years have increased to a considerable extent.

Besides, earlier the time gap between notification of vacancy and announcement of the results was large but now the entire process is completed in just five to six months.

Not only this, presently we are providing checklist to the candidates at the time of filling up of forms.

This has been done to help check the cases of rejection of applications which increased in the past few years.

Apart from this, we are using Information Technology in recruitment process.
Efforts have also been made to increase the railway earning through Railway Recruitment Board Allahabad.
