Renovated at the cost of Rs 16 lakh, the lecture theatre has a seating capacity of 200. It is packed with latest audio-visual system and is fully air conditioned. Situated near the Emergency Ward at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, it started functioning on Tuesday.
Retired Head of Medicine Department Dr VN Mittal inaugurated the lecture theatre. On the occasion he expressed happiness for upgrading the teaching system at the MLN Medical College. "It would definitely benefit the students and give them better exposure," he added.
MLN Medical College Principal Dr PC Saxena gave welcome address. The lecture theatre was renovated by Awas Vikas department in a period of four months, he informed.
"The major construction and renovation work has also started at the SRN Hospital to provide better facilities to the patients. The toilets are being re-constructed and beautification of the hospital park has also started. The corridors are being given a new look and a new sewer line is being laid down to solve the water clogging problem. Various changes have also been made in the academic area," he added.
Senior professors, lecturers and various head of departments were also present on the occasion.
