Teji Bachchan undergoes routine tests

Teji, 88, was admitted to the hospital on Friday by her son Amitabh and is having old age related ailments.

Teji Bachchan, mother of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra, on Saturday, underwent routine tests, hospital sources said.

Teji, 88, was admitted to the hospital on Friday by her son Amitabh and is having old age related ailments, including cataract, backache, Hospital Vice President Dr Narendra Trivedi said.

"Family doctor of the Bachchan's Dr Jayant Barve is taking care of her," Trivedi said.
