Addressing a news conference here before leaving for Sagar as part of his 'Bharat Uday Yatra', Advani said the BJP was in favour of constructing the temple through negotiation. The NDA allies too want to solve the Ayodhya imbroglio, he added.

"We want a lasting solution to the problem and we have almost completed homework for solving the Ayodhya tangle," Advani said.

The Deputy PM said even if the BJP got a clear majority in the Lok Sabha elections, the next government would be that of the NDA. He said all the allies would be involved in running the next NDA government.

Asked if the security forces were still on a high vigil given the improved relations with Pakistan, Advani said the security forces are cautious.
