Within a week of his appointment as Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday inducted ten cabinet rank ministers, taking the strength of his council of ministers to 11.

State Governor AR Kidwai administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new incumbents at the Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh at a simple function on Thursday evening.
Those who took oath as cabinet minister were Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, Birender Singh, Chander Mohan, Kartar Devi, Lachhman Dass Arora, OP Jindal, Phool Chand Mullana, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Surender Singh and Vinod Sharma.
Describing his ministry as "balanced", Hooda said that care had been taken to give representation to all sections of the society and regions.
"The idea is to take along all sections of society and people from all areas for all round development of Haryana," he told reporters after the swearing in ceremony.
Parrying question on possibility of having a deputy chief minister in the state, Hooda said, "Presently ten cabinet rank minister took the oath."
He also did not rule out the possibility of appointing parliamentary secretaries. "If need be parliamentary secretaries would be appointed," he said.
