Tension grips Deoria, HYV leader stabbed

TENSION GRIPPED Deoria when reacting over the stabbing of district unit president of Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV), members of a particular community set ablaze shops belonging to people from other community in various localities on Malviya road today. However, timely intervention of police prevented the situation from turning worse. The Hindu Yuva Vahini leader was rushed to the district hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.

Swinging into action the police registered cases against eight accused under various Section of IPC. The accused are Alok Chaurasia, Gabbar Chaurasia, Jamshed alias Pankaj, Seraj, Jhun Jhun alias Alwar, Rajan, Farooq Ahmad and Zakir Husain.

According to reports, one of the accused Jamshed alias Pankaj who is also the candidate for the chairperson of Deoria Palika Parishad had some dispute with Hindu Yuva Vahini activists. Following the dispute news of stabbing of Hindu Yuva Vahini district unit president Amit Modanwal spread in the city like wildfire and peoples confined themselves in their houses. Market were closed several areas wore a deserted look. Members of Hindu Yuva Vahini blamed that in ward number 23 some one had bashed up members of particular community and reacting over it, Modanwal was stabbed.
