Soak in the décor of artist Giriraj Sansanwal’s room to indulge your senses. The faces of innumerable beautiful women adorn every inch of the walls, floors, chairs, and bookcases.

This 35-year-old artist has spent two years decking up everything in his room with newspaper clippings of page 3 celebrities!

“The idea struck me when I was studying at Jamia Millia Islamia University. The boys hostel rooms usually had pictures of celebrities they fantasised about,” says Giriraj.

As his concept of art clearly is ‘simply the world is my canvas’, his artistic offering is free. You can see it and touch it but nothing can be bought.

So why his room?

“You think anyone would let me trash their walls?”

Giriraj who began his painting career at Jamia is now an art teacher
at a school. On his work he says, “it is generally very different and off-beat.”
