
Thieves strike at CMO?s office
THIEVES STRUCK at Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office at MTH Compound last night. They broke open the lock of the almirah and stole Rs 16,830 kept there. Kotwali police have registered the case on a complaint by Deepak son of Munnalal, who is an employee there.
In another theft at Mechanic Nagar, under Bhanwarkuan police station, the accused broke open the shutter of a shop and stole bearings and spare parts of trucks.
Shop owner Kamlesh Jain, resident of Siddharth Nagar, told police that he lost goods around Rs 30,000. Thieves also struck at the house of Subhash Dube resident of Raoji Bazaar and stole a gold mangalsutra, tops, gold and silver coins, gold nose ring and a watch worth around Rs 50,000.
A chain-snatching incident was reported from Tejaji Nagar Haat Maidan where three women snatched a chain from Nisha Tiwari, who had gone there to make some purchases. After snatching the chain, the three women ran away.
